Hello!!!

I am a special education teacher in Kentucky.  I have been teaching for seven and a half years.  I decided to start this blog as a place to give other special education teachers ideas.  I have found that it is easy to find teacher blogs for regular education teachers, but it is difficult to find blogs for special education teachers.  Now I know that special education are masters at modifying what they find to fit the needs of their students,  so I have used many gen. ed. blogs and adapted what they have to fit the needs of my students.  I thought I would share some of those ideas with you.  Together, you (the readers) and I can collaborate to make some fantastic ideas.  

I also started this blog, because I dedicated this year to finishing things.  See Jon Acuff's blog about Finish Year.  I said that I am going to finish at least one non-fiction education related reading per month and implement something that I learned.  I thought this blog would be a good way to keep me motivated and accountable.  I plan on using this blog as a sounding board to let you know what I have learned through my readings and hopefully we can share ideas.
