I am linking up with
Jamie from Tales of a Carolina Girl for her Special Education Blog Hop! Head over to her blog to check out some great special education bloggers and welcome Jaime to the field of special ed. I love finding other special ed. bloggers and creating a community to share ideas!

You are so right about building relationships. If you have the parent actively involved and listened to great things can happen at both school and home. I sometimes find though part of my role is to actively empower the parent to see how important they are as some of my parents have such low self-esteem themselves. Lovely to meet you and feel this will be the start of a great blog friendship :-)

I found your blog through the linky and am following you. I agree that we need to build relationships with our students and their parents/caregivers in order to better educate and serve our population.

I have followed your blog for awhile and love what you think and share. I just joined the blogging world and have to say that you are an inspiration to me! I so agree with building relationships--so much of our jobs are all about relationships. That is one of my favorite aspects of being a special ed. teacher.
