Who is Mrs. Hinton?
- I graduated from Murray State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Learning and Behavior Disorders in December 2003.
- I interviewed and received my first teaching job in January of 2004.
- I finished my Master's Degree in 2008 from the University of Louisville. My degree is in Special Education with an emphasis in Assistive Technology.
- My family and I moved from our small town to the heart of the Bluegrass in 2010 where I started teaching at my second school.
- I teach resource and collaboration/coteaching in grades 3, 4, & 5.
- I love my jobs and love my kids. Teaching allows me to make a difference in the lives of children.

1. Are you married, do you have a bf, or are you flying free as a single lady/man?
Married to Joe, my high school sweetheart & the best husband ever! :)
2. Where did you grow up?
3. Do you have any pets? If so, what kind and what is his/her name?
4. What is a favorite tv show you are embarrassed to admit to watching?
The Kardashians...all of them and their spinoffs. I love their craziness!
5. Are you a saver or a spender?
Spender, but hubby is turning me into a saver. Dang him and Dave Ramsey! ;)
6. What is your favorite children's book?
I loved all of the Little House on the Prairie books as a kid!
7. Were you the class clown, teacher's pet, or neither?
Neither. I don't think. I was too shy to be a class clown.
8. Who is your favorite athletic team?
UK Wildcats!!!!
9. Where did you go on your last REALLY fun vacation?
Siesta Key, FL...just me and the hubby!
10. Who is your favorite actor? Actress?
Actor-Will Smith Actress-Julia Roberts
11. Tell about the last time you cried because you were happy.
When a well was dug in India because of money that my daughter helped raise through our church!
12. What is your favorite season?
Spring! I love when the Dogwoods and Redbud trees begin to bloom and everything is that light shade of green! New life in nature makes me happy. I love the warmer weather and longer days, too.
13. What is your biggest regret?
14. What food do you just NOT like at all?
Steak! I know! Just not a red meat fan!
15. Who was your most memorable teacher, and why?
Mr. Watson. He had a no nonsense kind of way about him. He always believed in my ability and pushed me to do more. I never had a teacher like him that could just tell me like it is and push me to go farther!
16. What are your Spring Break plans? or What were your plans?
We are headed to Atlanta with some great friends and all of our kids (5 total). I am really looking forward to the break and great times ahead!!

Not learning soon enough not to have regrets! I have come to realize that everything happens for a reason, according to God's plan for me and regrets about what could have been just get in the way of me seeing what God has in store!

I am happy to have found your blog from a link on Extra Special Teaching! I, too, am a KY girl (from Hopkins County). As a parent of a special ed student, I've turned to the blogging world to find a little incite into the special ed classroom. I've already subscribed by email so I won't miss anything!
